to live in the 21st century, where cutting-edge technologies provide possibilities to experience the joy of motherhood independently of age or medical condition. For instance, 3-parent technique gives the chance to have genetically related baby even if your age is over 40 or your AMH is quite low.
The peculiarity of in vitro fertilization (IVF) programs in Ukraine is the absence of age limitation for women that wish to undergo such program. The possibility to participate is determined only with the health condition of a patient. There is no requirement to be married in order to qualify for the program.
Before the start of any procedure the doctor in charge of the program will ask you to prepare the following tests and check-ups results to determine if you can be hormonally stimulated and if you are capable to carry out pregnancy and give birth:
- certificate or doctor’s opinion where it is said that the hormonal ovarian stimulation is not prohibited to you
- certificate or doctor’s opinion that you’re healthy to carry out pregnancy and give birth
- breast ultrasound or mammography check result
- transvaginal ultrasound check result
- blood tests results for the following hormones (test should be done on the 3rd-5th day of your menstrual cycle:
- luteinizing hormone (LH)
- follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH)
- progesterone
- oestrogen
- testosterone
- Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH)
- blood group and Rh-factor
- test results for HIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, syphilis
- karyotype test result
